Known Issue — Medias in Room not editable

Summary

There is a major bug which we are working on and will release an emergency fix immediately (by today, Thurs, May 3rd). The issue is that a large number of media object (image, document, etc) inside a room are not editable or movable. No data is lost, it is just no editable. We greatly apologize for this huge inconvenience and are working hard to get this fixed ASAP.

Techincal Details

The reason this is happening is because our database reached a limit on the ID numbers for media objects. We are changing the datatype to account for more media objects and are testing the fix right now. We hope to release sometime during the day today, Thursday, May 3rd.

I am very dissapointed at not being able to use your product at my school and across my county (UK)
The issue appears to be that the initial download looks for a flash port for high quality download. That port is blocked by our district firewall (covers about 1/6th of the UK) it then goes back to the port 80 but can’t access it. The screen shows a ‘wrong version of flash’ message although the version is fine. A great pity as it is an excellent product.

Go to our test page and run the Flash Media Server Test. If all 6 tests fail, then yes, you’re behind a good firewall, and contacting your district’s firewall admins would be the only next step.

I can access my vyew site from Opera browser but when I log into IE 9 I can’t access my account rooms(even though I have logged out of the Opera Browser). It shows my menu but can’t get my presentations to work. I get a green vyew screen that is blank. Why can’t I log in to IE9 and access my vyew rooms?

Are you using Internet Explorer? We’ve just fixed a bug in IE– please clear IE’s cache, and try again. Let me know if it still doesn’t work for you.

I uploaded a .swf file to our room, and now Vyew itself (not the page) is super zoomed in. I can’t access any controls and I can’t scroll around.

Please forward this .swf to support@vyew.com so we can take a look at the issue.
