Inserting Content – Overview
In Vyew, you can import multiple file types into a single page. layer media objects, draw over them, and move them in groups, just like you would in Microsoft Powerpoint.

To insert/remove pages, use the Add New Page and Remove Page buttons in the top toolbar.

Inserting Content
Vyew can import these types of content:
- Microsoft Office – .doc .ppt .xls .docx .pptx .xlsx’
- Open Office - .odt .odf .ods .odp
- Text Files – .txt .rtf
- Adobe PDF - .pdf
- Images – .jpg .png .gif .bmp
- Audio Files – .mp3 (Learn more)
- Flash Movies/Applications – .swf (Learn more)
- Video Files – See “Inserting Video Files“ (Video files must be hosted by a third-party)
- Screenshots using Vyew’s “Screenshot” tool

Dialog Box
- Click Upload From My Computer to select a file to upload
- Click Advanced for more options:
- Upload from a URL – Paste in the URL of a file, or document. See more below.
- Import from Google Images – Click the button to search for and import images from Google Search.
- Lock After Upload – Lock the object after uploading. This prevents users from accidentally moving or deleting it. To unlock, click on it, then click Lock icon in bottom right.
- Import as an interactive object – If you are uploading an interactive SWF file, use this option so that Vyew will not block mouse clicks to that object.
- Convert PDF to JPG – Use this option if you are uploading a graphically complex PDF file which should be converted to a JPG first. PDF’s which contain very complex graphics, such as architectural drawings which have thousands of lines or complex color gradients will make a VyewBook act very slow and laggy in the browser. Use this option to solve the problem.

Inserting documents or websites from a URL
In the advanced import options, you can paste in a URL to:
- Import documents and images from a URL, ie “http://domain.com/image.jpg”
- Import a snapshot of a webpage, ie “http://digg.com”

Navigating, Rearranging, Renaming Pages
These can all be accomplished with the Page Navigator dropdown.
- Click on the Page Navigator drop down box.
- Change pages by clicking a page name, or use the arrows.
- To rearrange pages, just drag a page.
- To rename, just type a new name in the text input box.
