I’ve attempted to upload a 7 meg PDF. It gets to the point of saying Uploading File, 10% (Submitting for conversion); that window flashes a couple of times, then it generates an error window.

The error window is small and bitmapped. It is too small to read. When I attempt to enlarge it, the bitmapping is too rough to read, but I think it says something about a timeout.Pro

I’m using Firefox 2.5.1 on Mac Pro running OS 10.5.1

The PDF file I’m attempting to upload is the same as the only other package I’ve successfully uploaded except that the pages have been rotated to workaround an earlier problem.

The PDF is quite large. It may have some complex graphics such as a fade or shadow that is freezing the conversion process.

You may try breaking it up into 2 or 3 files then importing them separately.

hi Tim I also had a problem we tried to fix it it’s a 11mb .pdf file the same as an other one I have but this one is in Spanish… I got an error box that I was able to finally see it said unknown reason or undefined or something like that… the second time I tried to create a 1 page vyewbook to upload it into it like you said… I got this error code: 1218211

you had proposed that I beak the file up to upload it like you mentioned in here but I have no Idea how to beak the file in 2… please It’s been months since I’ve been trying to upload this… thank you for your time.

Yes, just checked your error code (that’s the only thing that’s important, the error message itself is not, we really need to make that clearer). Same problem, your file is too large & complex. It’s taking about 10 seconds per page to process, and it’s 31 pages. Currently our server limits the processing for each file to 3 minutes, to stop any files from overloading the server.

If you give me a day or two I can have someone here break the PDF file apart for you and upload it into your account, let me know if you’d like me to do this.

yes Tim thank you very much I would love if you guys can break the file up & put it in my vyewbooks “in 1 only” I don’t know if it’s a new thing to need those files to be smaller but I did upload 2 other before & they were the same amount of pages the same file but they were in English… & I also have a file that I had uploaded even before those that had about 35 pages… anyhow thank you for your help & yes I want you guy to break it for me & put it in my account 1 trillion thank yous in advance :D:D:D
