The textpad tool doesn’t function well and is very frustrating. The font size selection is buggy, e.g. when text is highlighted and a new font size is selected from the dropdown menu it merely closes the widget without changing the size of the font. The color selection does work however.

Your talking about the textpad, not the “text tool” right?
textpad has the white squarish icon around the “T”, texttool doesnt…
