Lock Out really Locks Out (How do I lock out users after meeting is over?)

I’m not sure if its a bug or feature but when I create a meeting, send out email invitations, hold meeting, then end meeting and set to lock out, those that I sent an email invitation to can still log in from their email link.

When I set it to Lock Out, I’d like no one to have access to the meeting when I’m not logged in, even if I had sent them an invitation.

Seems like a security flaw to me.  Maybe give us another end meeting option saying “lock out invitations”.

Thanks for your hard work, I’ve used other prohibitively expensive online meeting softwares and this beats their pants off in ease of use/price/features.

Hi Joel,

The ‘lock meeting’ feature will ONLY lock out non-invited users from the meeting.  We added this as a way for creators to control who can and cannot join the meeting while they are away.

At this moment, the only way to lock out invited users from a meeting is to ‘uninvite’ them from the ‘invite users’ menu.

Adding the option to lock everyone out, including invited users, is a good idea and we may implement that in our next version release.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thats sounds good.  So basically anyone who is reg’ed with Vyew can enter your meeting.  That should not be too hard.

Thanks for the feedback

If you invite someone to a LIVE Meeting, it is like an open-ended invitation, for as long as they are invited and the VyewBook is set to “Invites Only”.

If you invite someone with a “Scheduled Meeting” invite, they will only have access during the meeting time that you specified.

Another option you have, you can set a VyewBook to “Owner Only” in VyewBook settings - Access Control, and only you, as the owner will have access.
