I just made an attempt to share my desktop. I got only a one-line message at the top of the screen that said, “Looking for Updates. . . “ and a small screen that had a button for “Start Sharing” but nothing happened when I clicked on it.  I was never able to share my desktop.  It appeared to hang up since the “Looking for Updates” never went away.

Are you on a Mac or a PC?  Desktop share and screen capture does not work for the Mac.... yet. If you are on a PC, can you try screen capture?  If it hangs please click ‘report bug’.  That will give us some clues as to whats going on.
