I am looking to have two-way video discussion with my remote clients via webcam.  I will most likely use a land phone line for audio although that could change over time.  I’m unclear looking at your info if this is possible with Vyew.  Do you support video conferencing or is it just application sharing?

Yes with Vyew five people can broadcast their webcams at a time. You can also use the built-in voice-over-IP to talk… or the teleconference.

We also do desktop sharing / application sharing… (but not remote control).

Excellent.  It sounds like this could work very well for me.  A couple more questions:

1) As a money manager, many of the converstions I have with clients are quite personal and account level information is often exchanged.  What level of security do you provide?

2) I’d like to provide a way for clients to access the web video conference with as little effort on their part as possible.  I’m not sure all of my remote clients would be willing to set-up their own Vyew account as many are older and not very computer literate.  Would it be possible for me to set-up a second, generic account that my clients can use once I schedule a meeting?  Ideally I would like to have a link posted on my company website that clients can use to gain access.  I’m open to other ideas.

1. Security is about the same as Skype. We do not store any data of voice conversations on our server. It would be highly unlikely and complex to intercept a call because as far as I know they would need access to either your local network our our local network.  In the future we will have an encryption option.

2. User clients do not need a Vyew account. If you invite them they just click the link and go right into the meeting.
Another way is you can set the meeting to “Open to Anyone” in the access control settings then you could just give them your meeting URL, ie. http://vyew.com/room#/1234/My_Meeting

OK, so I’ve signed-up and am now testing the system between my office and my home.  I am able to get two-way video using a phone line for audio and it works well.  But the images are very small in the upper-right column.  Is there any way to increase the video size and/or move it to the desktop area?  Any other suggestions for how to increase the video size?

In the new version coming out this will be more obvious. For now, you can drag out the sidebar to make the video pod wider, and drag down the chat pod to make the video pod taller.

Any idea of when the new version will be launched?  Will there be any other video conferencing improvements included?
