Our VyewBooks are mainly going to be presentations that are viewed, rather than interactive collaborations.

What I’m noticing is that the pages are showing differently on various screens (I guess based on what screen resolution is set). For example, a VyewBook page that shows correctly on my screen set to 1280x1024, a viewer who’s screen is set to 1024x768 has to scroll around to see the whole thing. The only way I can see to change that at my end is to use the magnifier menu (either zoom reset or auto-zoom) on the offendng pages.

Am I missing something? We really want to have presentation pages show the same way on all our attendees’ monitors and would like to not have to manipulate Vyewbook pages like that once a presentation is under way.

Have you tried putting the meeting into “Sync” mode? You should be able to put it into sync mode, then on the presenter’s vyewbook, when you zoom so that you can see the entire page, all other users should automatically zoom so they can see the same area.

Yes, that’s what I’ve been doing. But I have to zoom out quite a bit, so that the page image takes about 2/3rds of my screen )or less in some instances) before the viewer at a lower res sees it full screen.

I think I’m going to try setting my desktop to the same resolution (or lower) than anyone I expect to join the meeting and see if that’s a acceptable workaround.

Our next version will have a more controlled setting of the “SYNC” mode, so that SYNC does not automatically sync zooming and scrolling as well. This would allow each user to control it themselves.

I am using a netbook and the problem I am having is that when I upload a document, I can only see part of it and can not scroll down to see the bottom of the page.

This is a known bug in the current version (4.0) of Vyew.  As a workaround, try creating a new page (Insert-> Blank Page) and then switching to that page and back.
